Fit in pt.2

These fittings are really nice. They make in seconds, literally just cut the hose to length push it in and send them back to the company to be crimped. By far the easiest AN fittings I have ever used.

Sportster pt. 4

Mounted the oil tank and made a standoff for the oil return and vent lines in order to keep them away from the head pipe. Got the gas tank mounted with a set of pretty standard mounts in the front and a nice clamp in the back. Finally got the exhaust all welded up and cleaned just have to get the heat coat done.

Sportster pt. 2

Got some more work done on the Sportster job. Oil tank is finished minus the mounts, bars are in place, fuel tank got a new tunnel and now I just need to make a cap and mount it to the backbone; finish the mid controls and exhaust.

Sight Glass for Oil Tank

The oil tank needs a sight due to remote mounting of the filler . I ordered this sight and it comes with BPP threads. I wasn't going to buy a $100 tap and the sight didn't come with a bung so I ended up making it on the lathe.

Got some work done today. Nothing finished, just roughed in.

Building Fins

Old timers say weld aluminum with Pure tungsten (green). I say hell no! Try to do this with a pure electrode. I have switched over to 1.5% and 2% Lanthanated for both AC and DC welding. They can carry up to 50% more current than pure tungsten and due to lack of radioactive material you anent going to get cancer like with 2% Thoriated (red)!
