I had Tommy buy a set of Magura hand controls for his Sportster. I had to ditch the bulky HD ones and Magura is the only company that offers a nice looking well made set of controls. The only problem is they only offer these for 7/8" bars. Instead of sectioning a piece of 7/8" material into the bar, I decided there was enough meat in the clutch perch to machine it to 1". I used a 7/8" piece of material clamped half way into the perch, opened it up to 1'' flipped it, attached it to a piece of 1'' material and finished the job. Sounds complicated but it only took 5 minutes.
