Its a kearney & Trecker model 2K, the reason I wanted another mill is because anyone who uses a Bridgeport style milling machine knows its limitations. This machine has none, literally it will consume anything you throw at it with gobbs of HP and dead accuracy. The head does not swivel or tilt so rigidity is as high as it gets. When I upload some video you will understand what I mean. As of right now there is an 8" 12 insert facemill in the spindle ready to remove some material.
Me like!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really picking up on the machinery front. Nice, what's the make and model and why this one?

ReplyDeleteSound pretty amazing and you sound like you have a specific purpose in mind. Must have been a 'bstrd' to move, looks seriously heavy.
